Our Story

For fifty years, Bainbridge Youth Services has served Bainbridge Island and North Kitsap youth and their families. We provide professional, no-fee, confidential Counseling and intervention for adolescents in our community, ages 12-19. For many years, Bainbridge Youth Services has partnered with the Kitsap County Juvenile Court system to provide Diversion Services to island teens. BYS also works to create opportunities for young people to develop and exercise leadership skills and helps them to find part time employment through our online jobs program.

All youth are welcome at BYS. We’re located in the 100 building at Bainbridge High School. Walk-in, or call 842-9675.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote the social and emotional well being of adolescents and young adults. We do this primarily through direct one-to-one counseling in our offices. However, we realize that today people are often more comfortable remaining entirely anonymous and contacting us using the internet, social media and texting. To that end, we launched AskBYS.org, a website dedicated to helping youth research issues, reach out to counselors and schedule one-on-one counseling sessions.

Our Counseling

BYS is a fifty year old organization whose mission is to promote the social and emotional well being of adolescents and young adults. We are here to help you and you have choices about how we do that:

1. ASK QUESTIONS:

Send us your questions and either a therapist or a doctor will respond to you directly. Youths, young adults, and parents are free to post questions anonymously.

2. GET INFORMATION:

Maybe you don’t want to send anything in, but you want to look around our site to see what others have sent. We also have some links, quotes and journal pages that you might find helpful. Or follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

3. SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT:

If you are a local Kitsap County youth (13yo and older) or parent and you are interested in free and confidential therapy, you can:

• Request an appointment

• Call Us: (206) 707-6388

IF THIS IS AN EMERGENCY, call 911.

The Crisis Clinic of the Peninsulas 1-800-843-4793 (24 hours)

The route for help you choose is entirely yours. Let us know if we can help. Remember, you don’t have to face your problems alone!
