Interested in Volunteering?

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Bainbridge Youth Services (BYS)! The work we do wouldn’t be possible without the support of our dedicated and hardworking volunteers.

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, including serving as board or on-call committee members, assisting with specific tasks, supporting staff and youth, or helping with events like our annual 4th of July Fun Run. To learn more, read our BYS Volunteer Handbook.

If you’d like to join our team, please complete our volunteer application below. Within 1-2 business days of submitting your application, our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to discuss next steps and potential opportunities.

Please note: in an effort to protect the confidentiality of our clients, we are unable to accept clinical volunteers outside of masters-level interns. If you are inquiring about a counseling internship, please click here.

If you are a youth,

our volunteer opportunities for youth are typically our Peer Tutoring program and Service Club. Please sign up for these programs via their specific forms, which require much less information; see the links in the previous sentence for these forms. You can find out more about these programs and sign up under the Our Work tab as well. Those programs take place during the school year.

Types of Volunteer Opportunities (check all that you are interested in)

Board Member: A board member is a dedicated volunteer serving a two-year term, providing strategic guidance, financial oversight and community advocacy to enhance youth well-being

Committee Member: A committee member is a volunteer who supports specific initiatives by providing guidance and hands-on assistance to further the organization's mission

On Call: A volunteer who provides occasional support for specific tasks, offering their time and skills as needed to help further the organization's mission

Events: An event volunteer assists with planning, setup, execution and cleanup of events, ensuring a positive and organized experience for participants while supporting the organization's mission

Staff & Youth Support: A volunteer supporting staff and youth provides direct assistance with programs and administrative tasks, helping to create a supportive and welcoming environment for young people
